The Matrix Golf Ozik HD5 golf shaft is truly a superb feat of construction. It's weight around 63 grams but still manages a mid/low spin right rate and a mid launch angle.
The HD in HD5 refers to the hexdecagonal internal platform on which the shafts are constructed. With a much strong 16-cut butt section, the Matrix Golf HD6 has a stronger tip and structure without increasing weight.
The lightest of the HD shafts, the HD5 is best suited for golfers that typically prefer a lighter shaft, but not so light as the HD4 which is weighted at 52 grams. This shaft works well for golfers who are looking to increase distance, as opposed to accuracy.
